Dr Chohan is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist who has undertaken the majority of his medical and specialist training across the West Midlands. He currently practises at the renowned Birmingham Skin Centre, City Hospital, one of the region’s leading centres for complex dermatological care.
A clinician with a strong academic and leadership background, Dr Chohan has previously served on the Editorial Board of Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, where he helped shape the journal’s strategic direction and led its social media and digital engagement initiatives. His commitment to innovation and operational improvement within the NHS is evident through his work at University Hospitals Birmingham, where he contributed to the streamlining of the artificial intelligence skin cancer pathway, improving both diagnostic efficiency and patient outcomes.
Dr Chohan has presented internationally on the impact of COVID-19 on skin cancer diagnosis and outcomes, further underscoring his dedication to advancing dermatological practice and enhancing patient experience.
As Clinical Lead for Dermatology at NCI, Dr Chohan provides expert leadership and governance across all dermatology services. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring NCI’s insourced clinics deliver the highest standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and operational excellence — embodying NCI’s commitment to innovative, patient-centred elective recovery solutions for the NHS.
